Fixed written quotes

Every price we give is written down before any work starts. The sheet carries the area in square metres, the build-up we are laying, the edgings, the drainage, what we are taking away, and the total. One number, not a rate that multiplies once the machine is on your drive.

If something is genuinely unknown until the ground is open, an old concrete raft, a service run nobody knew about, it is named on the quote as a possible extra with a price against it. You will not get a surprise on the last day.

We publish guide bands on every service page as well: roughly £60 to £90 per square metre for tarmac, £90 to £140 for resin bound, £100 to £150 for block paving, £80 to £150 for patio slabs. Those come from published UK cost surveys. They are there so you can sanity check any quote, including ours, before you spend an evening on it.

No cold calling, ever

We do not knock doors, we do not leaflet with a same-day price, and we never turn up with material left over from a job down the road. Trading Standards issue warnings about exactly that pattern every year, and the surplus tarmac story is the oldest one in this trade.

Every job we do starts with a homeowner contacting us. If somebody appears at your door claiming to be from this company, they are not, and you are welcome to ring the number on this site and tell us.

Insured local installers

The work is carried out by insured installers working in and around Solihull. Public liability cover is in place on every job. Ask for the certificate and we send it before anyone starts, not after.

We do not display accreditation badges we have not earned. If you see a scheme logo on a driveway website, check the membership number on the scheme's own register rather than trusting the picture.

The written guarantee

A workmanship guarantee comes with every quote, in writing, with its terms on the same sheet as the price. It covers the work we carried out: the sub-base, the falls, the edgings and the laying. It sits alongside whatever the material manufacturer offers on their own product.

Read the terms before you accept, and hold us to them. Full detail is on the guarantee and aftercare page.

What happens after you enquire

  1. We reply. Normally the same working day, by phone or email, whichever you asked for.
  2. We visit. We measure up, check the fall and the damp course, and look at what is under the current surface. Half an hour, free, no pressure to decide anything on the spot.
  3. You get the quote in writing. Emailed, with the area, the build-up and the price.
  4. You take your time. No discount that expires tonight, no chasing calls, no deposit asked for before you accept.
  5. If you say yes, we book a start date and confirm it in writing.
  6. If you say no, that is the end of it. We do not add you to a list and we do not ring you back in three months.

Where your details go

Your enquiry details are passed to the local partner installer who prepares your quote, so they can call you back and arrange the visit. Nothing else changes hands: no marketing list, no data sale, no third party advertising. The full detail is in our privacy notice.
