Why the postcode matters to the price

Two things change with location. The first is what is under your garden: much of this area sits on clay, which holds water and moves, so a drive here often wants more depth than the same drive on gravel subsoil. The second is access. A wide frontage where a machine and a grab lorry can get in costs less to dig out than a narrow terrace where every barrow goes out by hand.

That is why we ask for a postcode before quoting, and why we come out and look rather than pricing off a satellite photograph.
