Before AfterResin Bound Driveways
Washed aggregate mixed with resin and trowelled over a solid base. Smooth underfoot, and the permeable build lets rain soak straight through.

Before AfterBlock Paving
Concrete or clay blocks laid on a compacted sub-base and sharp sand. Any block can be lifted and relaid, so a repair never means a new drive.

Before AfterTarmac Driveways
Hot laid tarmac rolled over a properly built base. The lowest cost per square metre, and the quickest way to cover a long drive.

Sandstone, porcelain and concrete slabs on a full mortar bed, with the falls set away from the house and the edges properly haunched.
The part that is the same on every job
People choose between surfaces. What actually decides whether a drive is still flat in ten years is what sits under it. Every job we quote gets dug out to formation, a compacted sub-base laid in layers, edges set on concrete before the surface goes down, and a fall that takes water away from the house rather than towards it.
If your ground needs more than that, a soakaway, a channel drain, extra depth on soft clay, it goes on the quote as its own line with its own price. You should be able to see what you are paying for and compare it against the next quote line by line.
